After nearly five years at the helm of De Beers’ jewelry business, Céline Assimon will leave the company at the end of the month.
Assimon left Swiss luxury jeweler De Grisogono to join the miner as head of De Beers Jewellers in 2020. She became CEO at the company’s Forevermark label a year later, remaining in that role until March of last year. During her tenure with the mining giant, Assimon repositioned De Beers Jewellers as a design-led luxury brand and expanded its presence globally, a De Beers spokesperson confirmed to Rapaport News on Tuesday.
“Today I reflect on the De Beers London rebranding and on our most recent campaign with a sense of immense pride, as it is the culmination point of my tenure with the brand,” Assimon wrote on her LinkedIn page.
A De Beers spokesperson said the company was searching for a replacement to lead De Beers Jewellers.
