Seriti is the sixth diamond over 1,000 carats recovered at Karowe and ranks as the world’s sixth-largest rough diamond.
HB Antwerp, founded in 2020, has previously cut other exceptional Karowe discoveries, including the 1,758-carat Sewelo and the 549-carat Sethunya, both of which were acquired by Louis Vuitton. While the company has not disclosed a buyer for Seriti, Lucara recently announced that the Sethunya and the 1,080-carat Eva Star sold for a combined $54 million.
HB Antwerp employs proprietary Hyperloupe technology, designed to analyse and cut large, complex diamonds of up to 6,000 carats. “We use groundbreaking technology, traceability, and expertise to unlock the full brilliance of nature’s most exceptional creations,” the company states.
Under a 10-year agreement with Lucara, HB Antwerp processes all diamonds exceeding 10.8 carats from Karowe, which contribute approximately 70% of the mine’s revenue.
