Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA) has elected Edward DeCristofaro as its new board chair.
DeCristofaro, who is president of jewelry manufacturer LDC, first held the position between 2012 and 2014, the organization said Tuesday. In the intervening years, he served on the board as an officer at large, MJSA noted.
The new chair began his career in the jewelry industry working for his father, who founded LDC in 1985. He took over the company in 2003 and currently serves on the board of the Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT). He is also a member of the 24 Karat Club of New York and the Boston Jewelers Club.
Former MJSA chair Joseph Esposito will become chair of the MJSA Education Foundation, a subsidiary that advances career development and training opportunities for students and workers across the jewelry industry. Esposito is executive vice president of National Chain Group based in Rhode Island.
National Chain Group president Steven Cipolla, former chair of the MJSA Education Foundation, will become an officer at large. William Taubner of Ball Chain Manufacturing Co. in New York will commence a three-year term as director. Blackstone CEO Richard Milici will resign from the board after serving two consecutive three-year terms.
