Ethical Metalsmiths has elected industry veteran Brandee Dallow as president, succeeding Christina Malle.
Dallow, who took up the position on January 1 for a period of two years, currently serves as chief communications and sustainability officer at Grandview Klein Diamonds, the group, which focuses on responsible business practices, said Wednesday. She also worked for the Julius Klein Group, leading communications and marketing, and becoming its first female executive in 65 years.
Over the course of her career, she has worked with De Beers, the World Diamond Council (WDC), and Rio Tinto, as well as founding her own luxury impact consultancy, Fine Girl Communications. She has also served as president of both the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) and its foundation, and on the boards of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), Jewelers for Children and the US Kimberley Process Authority. She is a board adviser to the Black in Jewelry Coalition (BIJC).
“I am excited to build on Ethical Metalsmiths’ mission to inspire responsible jewelry practices through education, connection and action,” Dallow said.
