Four pieces of diamond jewelry that will go on the auction block at an upcoming sale at Christie’s New York will be offered with no reserve, including a necklace that could fetch up to $450,000.
The lot, which includes 67 square emerald-cut diamonds ranging from 1 to 5.03 carats, for a total weight of 82.75 carats, is set to lead the Jewels Online sale, which ends December 12, according to Christie’s. The diamonds range from D to F color and VVS1 to VS2 clarity.
Meanwhile, a ring bearing an emerald-cut, 7.01-carat, D-flawless solitaire diamond will also be offered without reserve. That piece is estimated at $250,000 to $350,000. Other lots offered without a reserve price include a necklace with a pear brilliant-cut, 5.02-carat, D-color, internally flawless diamond as well as 39 smaller diamonds totaling 45.56 carats, and a second with 75 emerald-cut diamonds weighing 89.85 carats in total. The stones range from 1 to 3 carats, are G to I color and flawless to VS2 clarity. Both are expected to bring in up to $350,000.
In total, the auction comprises 211 lots, including 16 items from a “distinguished” private collector, called An Eye for Beauty, Christie’s noted. Jewels from well-known designers such as Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co. and Michele Della Valle will also be on offer.
