Christie’s will sell a number of diamond jewels without reserve at its latest Hong Kong auction, with the top lot expected to bring in up to HKD 3 million ($348,149).
The pear brilliant-cut, 8.79-carat, E-color, flawless diamond ring will lead Jewels Online: The Hong Kong Edit, which began on March 10 and will close on March 20, according to Christie’s. It’s one of seven items in the top 10 lots the auction house will offer with no hard price that needs to be met before the sale can go through.
In addition, Christie’s will sell jewels with popular gemstones, including sapphires, rubies, emeralds, lavender jadeite and Paraiba tourmalines. It will also feature items from well-known design houses such as Graff, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co., and Boucheron.

These earrings, which Christie’s will offer without reserve, bear emerald-cut diamonds — one a D-color, VS1-clarity stone weighing 5.03 carats and the other a 5.02 carat, E-color, VVS1-clarity one. They carry an upper price of HKD 2.5 million ($321,787). This Graff bracelet boasts 46.76 carats of fancy-yellow diamonds, the largest a cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut, 4.07-carat stone. The piece is set to fetch up to HKD 2.5 million ($321,787). Another ring offered without reserve is this one, containing an emerald-cut, 5.05-carat, E-color, internally flawless diamond, estimated at up to HKD 1.2 million ($154,455). This bracelet has 34 emerald-cut, D-color diamonds, ranging from 1 to 1.03 carats, and VS1 to flawless clarity, for a total of 34.37 carats. The lot, which has no reserve price, has a top estimate of HKD 1.2 million ($154,455).
