Designers drew inspiration from the gemstone’s intricate patterns, likening them to a dragonfly taking flight at sunrise, and transformed this vision into a sculptural masterpiece.
Set with a blend of spinels, pink sapphires, rubies, and diamonds, the necklace exemplifies exquisite craftsmanship, taking over 700 hours to complete. Gübelin also employed Provenance Proof technology to ensure the authenticity and origin of the piece, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to transparency and artistry.
The ‘Tanzanian Sunrise’ necklace features a cushion-shaped red spinel as its centrepiece, surrounded by marquise-shaped rose spinels, pink sapphires, and rubies, totalling over 50 carats. These gemstones are meticulously arranged in a colour gradient that mimics the hues of dawn, with organically curved red gold elements forming wing-like structures. Diamond baguettes, set in platinum, add an extra layer of brilliance, enhancing the play of light across the necklace. This intricate design draws inspiration from the natural beauty of the spinel, embodying the House of Gübelin’s mastery in haute joaillerie.
