Organised by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), the event featured 1,300 brands and drew participants from 145 countries, surpassing last year’s international attendance. Leading visitors included representatives from Turkey, the United States, Germany, Spain, and Greece, with notable increases from regions like North Korea and Australia.
A Platform for Global Collaboration
The event showcased the full jewellery supply chain, from advanced technologies to haute joaillerie, reaffirming Vicenzaoro’s status as a critical meeting point for industry stakeholders. Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG, remarked on the success of expanding IEG’s global reach, significantly boosting foreign participation.
Matteo Farsura, head of IEG’s gold and jewellery division, emphasized the event’s focus on fostering dialogue across industry segments and supporting generational growth. The involvement of 650 students and trade associations underscored the importance of training and innovation.
Sector Growth and Sustainability
The jewellery sector, particularly in Italy, continues to thrive. Data from Istat indicates a 5.8% increase in revenue for the first 10 months of 2024, with exports (+7.2%) outpacing domestic growth (+3.0%). Sustainability, ESG practices, and technological advancements were key topics at the event, with debates and forums led by CIBJO, Legor, and Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting.
Concurrent Events and Future Outlook
Held alongside T.Gold, a showcase for jewellery technologies, and VO Vintage, the fine vintage watch show, Vicenzaoro January offered a comprehensive industry experience. Future expansions at the Expo Centre will integrate T.Gold into the Vicenzaoro areas by 2026.
Looking ahead, IEG will host several jewellery and fashion events globally, including OROAREZZO in May, SIJE in Singapore in July, and Vicenzaoro September, among others.
IEG expressed gratitude to all participating companies and partners, including the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, ITA, and global organizations like CIBJO and GJEPC India, for contributing to the success of Vicenzaoro January 2025. The event continues to be a cornerstone of innovation and collaboration for the jewellery and goldsmithing industries.
